Best Airport, Worst Airport

Today’s prompt asks:

What’s the best and worst airport you’ve been to?

My favorite would have to be VPS — Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.

Maybe I’m a little biased because it’s in one of my favorite places, but I really do love the simplicity of it.

It’s smaller, easier to navigate, and I don’t feel overwhelmed before I even get on the plane. TSA is usually manageable, and there’s something about landing there that already feels like vacation has started.

My only complaint?

Delays.

But honestly, if I’m delayed in Destin, I’m probably not going to complain too much.

Now the worst?

Probably St. Louis.

And I don’t even have some dramatic airport horror story.

It just never left me thinking,

“Wow, I can’t wait to come back here.”

Maybe that’s the best way I can explain it.

Some airports feel like part of the adventure.

Others are simply places you pass through on the way to somewhere better.

For me, St. Louis falls into that second category.

So give me a small airport, an easy TSA line, and a flight headed toward Destin any day.

I’m really not asking for much.

Just get me through security and closer to the beach.
