Two Truths Can Exist at the Same Time
One of the greatest signs of maturity is realizing that two truths can exist at the same time.
You can love someone… and recognize they’re not healthy for your life.
You can forgive… and still choose boundaries.
You can grieve what was… while being grateful for what is.
You can be disappointed… and still trust God.
You can miss someone… and not want them back.
You can be strong… and still need rest.
You can have faith… and still have questions.
Life isn’t always either/or.
Many times, it’s both/and.
We get into trouble when we believe accepting one truth means denying another. It doesn’t. Holding two truths at the same time doesn’t make you confused—it often means you’re growing.
Jesus Himself embodied grace and truth. He didn’t sacrifice one for the other. He offered both.
So if today you’re carrying emotions that seem to contradict one another, don’t rush to silence one of them. Sit with them. Learn from them. Let God sort through them with you.
Sometimes healing begins the moment we stop forcing life into black and white and allow ourselves to live in the wisdom that two truths can exist at the same time.
