We live in a world where perception often gets promoted above truth.

People work hard to appear happy rather than becoming happy.
To look successful rather than building success.
To seem healed rather than doing the difficult work of healing.

Social media has made perception a currency. We carefully choose photos, captions, filters, and moments that tell a story about our lives. Sometimes that story is true. Sometimes it is only the version we want others to see.

The problem comes when perception becomes more important than reality.

Because perception can fool other people.

Reality is what follows you home.

Reality is what exists when the camera is off.
When the audience leaves.
When the likes stop.
When you’re alone with your thoughts.

A relationship may look perfect from the outside while struggling behind closed doors.

A person may appear confident while privately battling insecurity.

Someone may seem wealthy while drowning in debt.

Someone may appear strong while carrying unimaginable grief.

Hi Perception is often what people see.

Reality is what God sees.

And eventually, reality always has a way of introducing itself.

The goal should never be to look whole.

The goal should be to become whole.

Because there is freedom in living a life where perception and reality finally match.
