Let’s have a conversation.

What are you holding on to that’s keeping you from moving forward?

What fear has taken up residence in your heart and convinced you to stay where you are?

What is keeping you from becoming the person God created you to be?

Sometimes the chains that bind us aren’t visible.

They’re not made of iron or steel.

They’re made of fear.

Fear of failure.

Fear of rejection.

Fear of being hurt again.

Fear of disappointing others.

Fear of starting over.

Fear of letting go.

Fear of stepping into the unknown.

And if we’re honest, sometimes we’ve carried those fears for so long that they’ve become familiar. Comfortable, even. We learn to live around them instead of confronting them.

But here’s the question:

What if the very thing you’re afraid of is standing between you and the life God is calling you to?

We say we trust God, yet we cling tightly to the things He may be asking us to release.

Old wounds.

Old relationships.

Old identities.

Old disappointments.

Old versions of ourselves.

We pray for God to open new doors while refusing to let go of the keys to the rooms He has already asked us to leave.

Faith isn’t just believing God can move mountains.

Faith is being willing to take the first step toward the mountain and speak to it.

Jesus said if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move.

But what mountain are you speaking to?

And more importantly, what mountain have you made peace with?

Because some of us have become so accustomed to our limitations that we’ve stopped expecting freedom.

We’ve accepted fear as wisdom.

Comfort as peace.

Stagnation as stability.

Meanwhile, God is still calling us forward.

Forward into healing.

Forward into purpose.

Forward into forgiveness.

Forward into obedience.

Forward into the life He has prepared for us.

The truth is, many of the prisons we live in don’t have locked doors.

The door has been open.

We’re just afraid to walk through it.

So today, ask yourself:

What am I holding on to that God is asking me to release?

What fear am I allowing to have more authority than my faith?

What would I attempt if I truly believed God was with me?

Because the life God has for you may be waiting on the other side of the thing you’re most afraid to face.

This is a safe space, judgment-free zone.

If fear wasn’t making your decisions, what would you do differently today?
