The God of the Process

We love the promises of God.

We pray for the promise.
We wait for the promise.
We celebrate when the promise finally arrives.

But rarely do we celebrate the process.

The process is where faith is tested.

It’s the late nights when no one sees your tears.

The prayers that seem to go unanswered.

The doors that close.

The waiting.

The stretching.

The surrender.

Everyone wants the testimony, but few want the process that produces it.

We admire Joseph’s position in the palace, but we often forget the pit and the prison.

We celebrate David’s crown, but overlook the fields where he faithfully tended sheep.

We rejoice in the resurrection, but sometimes forget there was a cross before there was an empty tomb.

God is not just the God of the promise.

He is the God of the process.

He is present in every delay, every disappointment, every lesson, and every moment when you wonder if He’s still working.

Because the process isn’t punishment.

It’s preparation.

And perhaps that’s where many of us lose heart.

We become so focused on reaching the destination that we forget God is just as interested in who we’re becoming as where we’re going.

The promise depends on God.

He is faithful.
He cannot lie.
What He has spoken, He will accomplish.

The process depends on you.

Will you continue trusting when you don’t understand?

Will you remain faithful when no one is watching?

Will you obey when the next step requires courage instead of comfort?

Will you keep walking when the destination still seems far away?

Not because you’re earning God’s promise—

but because you’re allowing Him to prepare you to carry it.

God is a God of His Word.

When He speaks, His promises never return empty. They accomplish exactly what He intends—but often not before He accomplishes something in us first.

Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t the promise.

It’s the person you become while waiting for it.

Because somewhere between the promise and the fulfillment…

God is shaping your character, strengthening your faith, and preparing your heart for what He’s already prepared for your life.

Trust the process.

Because if God gave the promise, He is also faithful to guide you through every step that leads to it.
