Weekly question : Who would you be if fear wasn’t making your decisions?
Good Morning ☀️
Today’s conversation:
Who would you be if fear wasn’t making your decisions?
The answer should have come quickly.
Instead, there was silence.
Then an unexpected response:
“I don’t know.”
Not because there isn’t a dream.
Not because there isn’t a desire.
Not because there isn’t a vision.
Perhaps because fear has a way of becoming so familiar that it quietly takes a seat at the table and begins helping make decisions.
Fear says be careful.
Fear says wait.
Fear says don’t risk it.
Fear says stay where it’s comfortable.
Sometimes fear is wise.
Sometimes fear is just loud.
The truth is, there isn’t always an immediate answer to who would emerge if fear stepped aside.
Maybe the first step isn’t knowing.
Maybe the first step is simply asking the question.
And perhaps “I don’t know” isn’t uncertainty at all.
Perhaps it’s the beginning of discovery.
So I’ll ask again:
Who would you be if fear wasn’t making your decisions?
And if the answer is “I don’t know,” that’s okay too.
Some answers aren’t found in a moment.
They’re found in the courage to keep asking.
