Have you ever noticed that some of the strongest people you know are the very ones who rarely ask for anything?
They’re the people everybody calls when something goes wrong.
The ones who show up.
The ones who figure things out.
The ones who somehow manage to keep everybody else’s world from falling apart while quietly trying to hold their own together.
And because they seem so capable, we assume they’re okay.
But being capable doesn’t mean you’re not tired.
Being dependable doesn’t mean you don’t need someone to depend on.
And being strong doesn’t mean life hasn’t hurt you.
I wonder how many people are carrying things they’ve never told anyone about simply because they’ve spent so many years being the person everyone else leans on.
Sometimes the strongest person in the room is the one who needs someone to notice they’re struggling.
Not to fix everything.
Not to give another speech about being strong.
Just to ask, “How are you really doing?” and stay long enough to hear the answer.
Because even the people who carry everybody else deserve somewhere to put their burdens down.
Thinking out loud… maybe we should stop assuming the people who never ask for help don’t need any. Sometimes they’ve simply forgotten what it feels like to be the one somebody shows up for.
