The Gift of Perspective

Perspective is one of life’s greatest gifts.

It has the remarkable ability to change nothing about a situation…
yet change everything about how we understand it.

The very thing that once felt like a setback
may later reveal itself as protection.

The closed door
may become the reason the right one was found.

The heartbreak that once seemed unbearable
may become the catalyst for healing.

Time has a remarkable way of bringing clarity
to moments that once felt impossible to understand.

Perspective doesn’t erase pain.

It gives pain purpose.

It doesn’t deny the tears.

It helps us see what those tears were quietly watering.

Perhaps that’s why wisdom often comes with age.

Not because older people have all the answers…

But because they’ve lived long enough to discover that some of life’s greatest disappointments were gently leading them toward something they couldn’t yet see.

Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t getting what we wanted.

It’s finally understanding
why it never happened.

Perspective rarely arrives
in the middle of the storm.

More often,
it meets us on the other side—

quietly whispering,

“Now do you see?”

And suddenly…

What once felt like a loss
begins to look a little more like grace.
