Without question, Eat, Pray, Love.
It wasn’t just the destinations that inspired me—it was the journey.
The movie reminded me that sometimes travel isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about rediscovering it.
It made me want to wander through the streets of Italy, where meals aren’t rushed and conversations linger around the table. To savor fresh bread, homemade pasta, and the simple joy of sharing a meal with people you love.
It made me dream of France, with its open-air markets, charming cafés, and slower pace of life—a place where beauty is found in the ordinary and life is meant to be savored, not simply survived.
More than anything, it awakened a desire to experience different cultures, hear new languages, meet people with stories unlike my own, and discover that the world is far bigger—and far more beautiful—than the one we’ve always known.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized I’m no longer collecting things.
I’m collecting moments.
A sunrise over the sea.
A quiet café tucked away on a cobblestone street.
A conversation with someone whose first language isn’t mine.
A recipe handed down through generations.
Those are the souvenirs I want to bring home.
To me, travel isn’t about checking countries off a list.
It’s about allowing each place to leave something behind in you.
Because sometimes the greatest journey isn’t across the world.
It’s the one that changes your heart.
Life is short. See the world. Embrace the culture. Gather around the table. Never stop being curious.
Sometimes the places we long to visit become the places that quietly teach us how to live.
