As one week comes to a close and a new one quietly begins, my prayer for you isn’t that life becomes easier.
My prayer is that you begin to notice the little things.
The warmth of the morning sun.
The laughter of someone you love.
The sound of birds welcoming a new day.
A gentle breeze across your face.
A cup of coffee that invites you to slow down.
The quiet reminder that this moment is enough.
Close your eyes for just a moment.
Take a deep breath.
Picture yourself lying in green pastures, where there is no striving, no comparing, no competing—only rest.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.” (Psalm 23)
What a beautiful picture of God’s heart.
Not a God who is rushing us from one achievement to the next, but One who invites us to be still long enough to remember that our worth isn’t found in what we accomplish. It is found in whose we are.
The world can be loud.
There are voices that want to divide us by race, politics, opinions, and every difference they can find.
But when seen from heaven’s perspective, there is only one human family, sharing one planet, each carrying hopes, fears, joys, and burdens that are more alike than different.
Kindness has no color.
Compassion has no nationality.
Grace speaks every language.
Perhaps this week, choose to be the reason someone believes there is still goodness in the world.
Offer patience.
Extend mercy.
Listen before speaking.
Love a little deeper.
Forgive a little quicker.
And don’t overlook the ordinary moments, because they are often where God whispers the loudest.
May this new week bring peace to your mind, strength to your heart, and rest to your soul.
May you find joy in the little things, hope in the waiting, and courage for whatever lies ahead.
And above all, may you remember that even in a divided world, love still has the power to bring people together.
Have a blessed Sunday. Rest well, love deeply, and carry peace wherever your feet may go.
Good
