Is a Little Chaos Actually Good for Us?

I think… sometimes it is.

Not because chaos is enjoyable.

Not because we should seek it.

But because chaos has a way of revealing what comfort often hides.

It shows us where we’re placing our security.

It exposes relationships built on convenience instead of commitment.

It reveals our patience—or our lack of it.

Our priorities.

Our character.

When life is calm, almost anyone can appear strong.

But let life become unpredictable, and suddenly you discover what you’re really standing on.

I’ve learned that some of my greatest seasons of growth didn’t happen when everything was going according to plan.

They happened when the plans fell apart.

When I had to trust God without having all the answers.

When I had to let go of control.

When I realized I couldn’t fix everything—or everyone.

Chaos has a way of stripping away the unnecessary.

It reminds us what truly matters.

Family.

Faith.

Character.

Peace.

And the people who stay beside us when life isn’t easy.

The goal isn’t to live in chaos.

The goal is to become the kind of person who can walk through chaos without allowing it to become who you are.

Because storms don’t just test what you’ve built.

Sometimes they reveal how well your foundation was laid.

So…

Maybe a little chaos isn’t the enemy.

Maybe it’s the teacher that reminds us where real peace is found.

Question for the conversation:

Has a difficult season ever changed you for the better? If so… how?
