If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could live anywhere in the world, I think it would be somewhere along the French Riviera—or perhaps a charming coastal village where French, Italian, English, and even a touch of Spanish culture meet.

Not because of the luxury.

But because of the lifestyle.

I’ve reached a season in my life where I crave experiences more than possessions.

I want to wander through open-air markets on Saturday mornings, carrying a basket filled with fresh bread, local cheeses, flowers, and fruit. I want afternoons in little cafés where conversations linger longer than the coffee. I want to hear different languages spoken around me, learn enough to order a meal, greet my neighbors, and immerse myself in a culture that values connection over rushing.

I want to experience the food, the traditions, the history, and the people.

To watch fishermen return with the day’s catch.

To enjoy long dinners that aren’t hurried.

To walk along the coast at sunset with a journal in one hand and someone I love beside me.

I imagine a home with weathered blue shutters, climbing roses, a worn wooden table on the patio, and enough room for family and friends to gather. A place where laughter is heard more often than television, where meals are made from scratch, and where no one is in a hurry to leave the table.

I’ve learned that life isn’t measured by how much we accumulate.

It’s measured by the memories we create.

The people we love.

And the moments we choose to be fully present.

At this stage of my life, I’m not chasing a destination.

I’m chasing a rhythm.

One that is intentional.

One that is peaceful.

One that reminds me to slow down and notice the beauty God has woven into the ordinary.

Because home isn’t always a place.

Sometimes…it’s the place that teaches your soul how to breathe.
