What is the meaning of life?

There are many theories and interpretations about the meaning of life. Scientists have their explanations, Christians have theirs, and even Hollywood offers its own version of what life is supposed to mean. But the truth is, no one fully knows. Life is an experience, and each of us walks through it differently. Every perspective is shaped by what we believe, what we survive, what we love, and what we lose.

For some, life is faith-based. For others, it is about purpose, success, discovery, or legacy. But whatever your interpretation of life may be, one thing remains true: live it to the best of your ability.

Life is not truly about material things. Those things fade, break, become outdated, or are eventually left behind. Life is about love.

Love what you do.
Love your family.
Love people well.

Leave an imprint that outlives you.

Because when this journey called life is over, you do not want to leave carrying regrets over all the things you should have done. You want to leave knowing you mattered. Knowing you made a difference in the lives around you. Knowing you loved deeply and extended that love freely to others.

Real life is lived in the space between the dashes on your headstone — the small line between the day you were born and the day you leave this earth. And in that tiny space is an entire story.

A story of moments.

Moments like dancing in the rain.
Dancing at your son or daughter’s wedding.
Teaching your grandchildren about family history.
Baking cookies together in the kitchen.
Fishing on quiet mornings.
Sitting on porches talking long after the sun goes down.

Those are the things that become priceless.

In the end, people may not remember every gift you bought them or every accomplishment you achieved. But they will remember how you made them feel. They will remember the time you spent with them, the laughter you shared, the comfort you gave, and the memories you created together.

That’s the meaning of life.

Not perfection.
Not wealth.
Not status.

But connection, love, and the ordinary moments that quietly become the most extraordinary parts of our lives.
