Daily writing prompt
What’s a mystery from your own life that you’ve never solved?

Some Mysteries Aren’t Meant to Be Solved

Today’s prompt asked:
What mystery from your life have you never solved?

And the truth is…

I don’t think every mystery needs solving.

There were times in my life
when I searched for answers.

Why things ended the way they did.
Why people changed.
Why certain doors closed
without explanation.

I wanted clarity.
Closure.
Something that made it all make sense.

But life doesn’t always offer that.

Some conversations never happen.
Some questions never get answered.
Some endings come without understanding.

And at some point,
you realize—

Peace doesn’t always come from knowing.

Sometimes it comes from
letting go of the need to know.

Because not every silence
is meant to be filled.

Not every absence
is meant to be explained.

Not every mystery
is yours to carry forever.

There’s a quiet freedom
in releasing the need to figure everything out.

In accepting that some things
simply were…

and no longer are.

It doesn’t mean it didn’t matter.
It doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt.

It just means
you’ve chosen not to stay stuck
trying to solve something
that life has already moved on from.

So no…
there are mysteries in my life.

Unanswered questions.
Unfinished stories.

But I don’t chase them anymore.

Because I’ve learned—
everything that was meant for me
didn’t require confusion to keep it.

Closing Line

Some things aren’t meant to be understood—
they’re meant to be released.
