A Diagnosis Is Not the End

By Valrelyn

A diagnosis is not always an ending.

Sometimes it is the beginning of a new kind of faith.

When we hear words that change our lives — words that bring fear, uncertainty, and questions — it is easy to believe that the story is ending.

But what if the diagnosis is not the end of the story at all?

What if it is simply the beginning of a different chapter?

God reminds us that the outcome we fear does not define the purpose He has written for our lives.

“Will you believe the diagnosis,” He asks,

“or will you believe My word?”

Because no matter what the future looks like, God is still in control.

What feels like loss to us is never the end of His story.

What feels like goodbye on earth may simply be the beginning of something new in eternity.

The things that may be forgotten here will be remembered again in paradise.

The hardest part of any illness is the unknown.

But the unknown was never meant to destroy our faith.

It was meant to strengthen it.

There will be seasons when faith is tested.

Moments when we must stand still and trust that God is still writing the story — even when we cannot see the ending.

Where we may see a little girl slowly slipping away, God may see something entirely different.

He sees childlike faith.

A soul resting quietly in His hands.

Because we are only here for a season.

How long that season lasts, none of us truly knows.

But in the time we are given, we are called to love.

To care for one another.

And to live the purpose God placed within us before we were ever born.

A diagnosis may change the journey.

But it does not change the Author of the story.

And the One who writes the story promises this:

Everything will be okay.

Because He is with us always.
