It’s the Journey
It’s the journey because the path to wholeness has never been easy.
There were seasons I didn’t understand.
Detours I resisted.
Moments I would have traded for something softer.
If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Not the tears.
Not the heartbreak.
Not even the “what ifs” that once kept me awake at night.
So often we look back and see our lives through the lens of regret. We replay conversations. We revisit decisions. We imagine alternate endings. But the truth is — it was those very moments that shaped us. The disappointments carved wisdom into us. The losses deepened our compassion. The waiting built our strength.
The journey was never meant to be perfect.
It was meant to make us.
The closer I get to sixty, the more I understand that everything carries purpose — even the pain. Especially the pain. What once felt like setbacks were divine alignments. What felt like endings were redirections. What felt like silence was preparation.
We are not here to live haunted by regret.
We are here to live anchored in love.
In purpose.
In gratitude for the woman we became because we kept walking.
Wholeness didn’t arrive overnight.
It was formed in the becoming.
And if I stand here now — wiser, softer, stronger — it is because I walked every mile of it.
I would not change a single step.
Because it was never just about the destination.
It was always about the journey.
