Awakening – Part 4
When Waiting Is Formation, Not Delay
Waiting feels like silence when we don’t understand its purpose.
But in God’s economy, waiting is rarely empty.
It is formation.
There are seasons when nothing seems to move—
no doors opening,
no answers arriving,
no visible progress.
Yet beneath the surface, everything is being prepared.
Before Esther ever stood before the king, there was a twelve-month preparation.
Not because she was unworthy—
but because the moment required weight, wisdom, and readiness.
She was not rushed into destiny.
She was prepared for it.
Waiting, in this way, is not passive.
It is purposeful.
It builds character where talent alone would fail.
It strengthens discernment where emotion once ruled.
It deepens faith so that calling does not collapse under pressure.
So many of us grow impatient with God because we can’t see what He’s doing.
But preparation often happens underground.
Like planting a seed—
especially one like a potato—you don’t see growth until the harvest is ready.
Dig too soon and you destroy what was forming.
Wait long enough, and the field reveals abundance.
Waiting teaches restraint.
Waiting teaches trust.
Waiting teaches us how to carry what we’ve prayed for without dropping it.
The number twelve represents order, completeness, and divine alignment.
It reminds us that preparation has a rhythm—
and when that rhythm is honored, the result is sustainable fruit.
What looks like delay is often God protecting the promise.
What feels like stillness is often God strengthening the vessel.
You are not being overlooked.
You are being shaped.
Waiting is not wasted time.
It is where the unseen work happens—
so that when the moment comes,
you are not just ready to arrive…
you are ready to remain.
