Becoming Trusting in the Unseen
Walking by faith when sight offers no assurance
We are taught early to walk by faith and not by sight—but living that truth is another matter entirely. Trusting God in unseen places means believing He is at work even when the evidence is missing, when the numbers don’t add up, and when the outcome is unclear.
I remember when my brother was leaving for college. My mother didn’t know how she would pay what was still owed. She prayed anyway. That morning, God told her the money would be there—not how, not when—just on His word. That was enough.
We got in the car and drove to Atlanta with unanswered questions and a settled peace. When we arrived, there was money waiting for my brother—more than enough. If my mother had relied on what she could see or calculate, he would never have gone. But she trusted who God said He was.
That is what it means to trust God in unseen places.
Like Peter stepping out onto the water, faith moves first—clarity follows later.
Sight demands proof. Faith only requires obedience.
