Your love for me still astounds me.
I see You there — waiting at the altar.
The journey has been long and exhausting, and many would have walked away.
But not You.
Even when I behaved like the unfaithful bride in Hosea,
You never stopped loving me.
I ask myself why.
Why wait for me when I willingly placed others before You?
I cheated on You with my idols, my distractions, my fears —
without remorse, without regret.
Were I You, I would have walked away.
But You remained.
Faithful. Steadfast. Unmoved.
You, the Groom of my youth, never wavered.
When others whispered, “Why do You wait for her? Aren’t You embarrassed?”
You smiled because You knew my story.
You saw me — truly saw me — naked and unashamed,
and still You loved me through all my shame.
So tonight, I come to renew my vows before heaven and earth.
My Vows to You
I choose You again.
I vow to fiercely love You with passion — today, tomorrow, and forever.
I promise to remember that this covenant is for life,
not something to take lightly or abandon in hard seasons.
I vow to love You
even when challenges rise up like storms
and try to pull me away from You,
because I know I will always find my way back.
I promise to be faithful when the journey grows long
and my strength grows weary.
I promise to put You first, to honor You, to return to You.
Your love illuminates my path back home.
Father, You vowed to teach me how to love life,
to hold me with tenderness,
to give me the patience that love requires —
to speak when words are needed,
and to share the silence when they are not.
You are my shelter,
my friend,
my purpose,
the giver of my life.
You know my secrets, my destiny, my soul.
I long for Your touch.
I long for Your presence.
So as You lift the veil —
the veil between us, the one my sins and fears created —
know that I will do my best to honor this commitment.
And if I stumble, I trust that You will gently guide me back.
When the Veil Is Lifted
When my Groom presents me to His Father,
and the veil is lifted,
I see grace —
pure, revealed truth.
I can see with my soul, not just my eyes.
I can see the life I was meant to live,
the journey I was meant to walk.
And in that moment, I am redeemed.
Hope rises. Joy returns.
The invitation is extended to all who desire it.
If you long for the veil between you and God
to be lifted in eternity,
lift the veil in this life.
Let go of the sins, the false attachments,
the hopelessness that clouds your vision.
If you cannot believe, open your heart.
If you cannot see with your soul, be still —
for the veil will be lifted.
Let the love hidden behind the veil
release you from your past
and redeem you.
Because every now and then,
God lifts the veil between heaven and earth,
and we catch a glimpse of glory.
When that moment comes…
savor it.
Rejoice in it.
Let it change you.
